Sale-a-brations starts in Feb, 2011 (spend $50.00, (excludes tax and shipping) and get to pick a sale-a-bration item free of charge. This year they will be adding some items from the big catalog for you to pick.
New mini catalogs will be out soon. They will start in January 2011.
Lot of sewing things in the new mini, just to get you a little excited. They are all on my list. I love the mini, I think you will too.

I will furnish, so Christmas stamps.
I will have the commercial dies out: pebbles box, (for rudolph) bring deer color paper or brown grocery bags, the bag with handles (cut in red), and the tall box (need 12 by 12 cards stock for this one) You can cut up to 10 of each.

I will also put out the box 2, and gingerbread house dies (you can cut up to 5 each)

Most of us send tons of Christmas cards. I will have some simple but elegant styles for you to copy. I will provide the stamps only for this one. YOU MUST bring your supplies. Hopefully, I can get some pictures and samples put together in time to get them emailed to anyone interested. I will be using the SU ornament punch for this one. If anyone doesn't have the cardstock they can order it from me or buy it outright.

This one is great for beginners or seasoned stampers. Depending on the supplies you bring, your cards can be cute to fantastic. Some of you have been wanting a good one to start on, this is the one for you. You can make your cards, birthday, thank you. The little piece of luggage is great for holding a small gift. This is Bella in a 50's Corvette. What a great image for your female friends and family.

Beginners bring:

scissors and adhesive (a glue stick or double sided tape is fine)
and any of the other things on the seasoned stamper list that you have or would like to have
if it is your first time I will provide the ink pad and coloring medium for you

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying your summer. I sure have. Cody was home for leave and the time flew by.

Out with the old and in with the new. I am having a Stamp-a-Thon, that means I will be providing the stamps only. You will need to bring all your own supplies including cardstock.
I will have 9 hostess sets from the 2009-2010 catalog. If a problem should arise with people not want to share sets I will have to place a time limit on each set. I don't see this happening, as we have never had this problem before.

The discontinued list will be out for Stampin' Up. You can place your order and do some stamping. As always you do not have to make a purchase to participate.

We will be doing mixed cards. There will be 3 masculine P.J. get well cards with a soup container, and 3 feminine hat lady cards in peach and brown colors (will have a mixed set, so you can pick your greeting, ex: birthday, thank you, just a note, friend) with a purse. We will make a total of 6 cards and 2 containers. You can make these basic if you are a beginner or extreme if you have the tools and talents. This is one for all skill levels, so don’t be scared, if you have been wanting to get started or learn a couple of new techniques this one is for you. We will be doing the gamasol and prisma pencils (if you have them, bring them), if you don’t have them you can just color the images and still have nice cards. We will also do the new and greatest rage, scrunched flowers. They look yummy on projects. We will be using these flowers on three cards and on the purse container. We will also be using the nestabilities and dry embossing with the cuttlebug for elegant backgrounds. Paper piercing will be done around the mats for a nice eyelet look.

SUPPLIES YOU NEED TO BRING: (**optional supplies needed for extreme cards not for beginners cards)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hello:
I hope your Christmas season is moving slower than mine. I feel like I am scrambling like a chicken without a head. Cody will be in Wednesday. Jake on Saturday. I didn't get my Christmas cards made, and haven't had much time for stamping. When I said in September I would be busy for awhile I never dreamed it would get this crazy for this long.

Stampin' Up is having celebrations again next year. It will run the month of January and February. (That is the time when you purchase $50.00 excludes tax and shipping, you get to pick a free set from the celebrations catalog...this year they are also offering a number of sets from the big catalog as celebrations sets.) I should have the mini catalogs and the celebration catalogs at the end of December. I do plan to stamp again ladies, I promise! Hopefully, we can get together 1st part of January and catch up on everything that happened in all our lives in the past 5 months.

I will plan on turning in orders on the 15th of January and 15th of February. Anyone interested in a catalog or ordering please contact me by phone or email.

I know this catalog has been well received by all. Stampin' Up went back to one (1) catalog again. This is the only catalog until this time next year. There will be a couple of minis through the year. Some of you have expressed interest in having a home party. Let me now and I'll schedule one for you. Also, a couple of you have talked about starting a stampers club. If you are still serious about that let me know.

I will be placing an order on the 15th of July. If you are not interested in having a party have your order to me by the 15th.

Americana Stamping Saturday June 20--great beginners class

I was not going to stamp for the next couple of weekends but I have changed my mind. I will be doing an American stamping on Saturday June 20, time 1 to 4, $20.00 cash. This is a great beginners class.

Supplies you need to bring. Your adhesive, scissors and markers and/or pencils.

*****Optional: glue dots, pop dots, adhesive machine

I will allow each person who attends the workshop 15 minutes of stamping using the rubber stamps that are out for this project. ***If you bring the following supplies: ( for the extra stamping I will provide the stamps only, NOT the inks, papers, or other embellishments)

If you would like to do extra stamping for later to off set the cost of the workshop bring the following:

a few sheets of white or cream cardstock
a blue and/or red ink pad

Retirement Party Stamping

Hello Ladies! It is that time of year again...the retirement list comes out on the 1st of June. Things get hopping in the stamping world. I will be doing a retirement order/party on the 6th of June. If you wish to order anything this month. I need your order and your money on Saturday. Those who have orderd before, know how hetic it gets and they start running out of stuff. This is the only order I will be turning in for July. The next order I turn in, will be with the new catalog in July. As always you do not have to place an order to come and stamp and join in on the excitement and fun. You can just pay for your day of stamping like always.

Only two ladies have pre-ordered their cattys. Judy and Diana...if any others want them at the discounted price please contact me by Monday, or you will need to pay full price along with tax and shipping after my order goes in.

On Saturday, we will be making cards using some of the hostess sets that will be retiring with this catalog. I will be using the Echos of Kindess and God's Beauty sets...with a possible old retiree coming back to visit. You know a blast from the past set!

This is will a nature theme day. Come and join in the fun.

The technique will be watercoloring with your aqua painters, or your watercolor brush and water well. Also, for the 1st time we will be working with the circle cards from the Cricuit Wildcard collection. Thought we would try something new and fun. Hope to see you Saturday.

SU Retirement List and New catalogs

It's that time again. SU is retiring lots of sets on May 30th and I will have a list sometime on the 1st day of June. Check the blog if you are interested for the list.

Also, if you want to pre-order a catalog please let me know. I am not sure how much they will be this year. As soon as I can order I will let you know the cost.

Anyone interested in booking a home party for this even in the month of June please let me know. I will be able to do some during the day the week of the 8th thru the 12th Sunday the 7th or the 18th. After the 15th I will not be placing any orders as those of you who order know it gets hetic and the start running out of things and then the orders are short and it is a nightmare.

Techinique class for men using tools as the theme

This is a technique class. We will be making cards with tool boxes and workbenches will have the drawers opening. This is a class that a beginner could do if they had the correct supplies. There will be lots of cutting, please make sure you have the correct cutting tools.
You need to bring: Paper trimmer and scoring blade, scissors, glue and double sided tape, markers, and a black ink pad, and an exacto knife or similar tool and cutting mat. ***optional 2 sheets of 8 1/2 by 11 cardstock to stamp additonal images, using your ink and to assemble at home.
( I have one of these if you don’t have one) *** your exacto, or break away knife and a cutting mat but you most likely will not be able to finish your cards that day if you are sharing this tool!
This is a technique class and you must have the following supplies or pay a $5.00 supply fee.

Make-A-Scene (Barn and horse cards)

Saturday, August 16, 2008, time starts at 1 and ends at 6, fee $20.00 (cash), reserved seating only, I think this will fill fast. Only 6 seats available this one.

I do not have tiny feathers that were used on the cards. If you have tiny feathers bring them. If not your hat's will not have a feather.

Skill level is a 2, this is easier than it looks, but it does take a lot of time. The technique taught in this workshop will be masking.

Bring:

tiny feathers if you have them (about 1/2 inch)

scissors (lots of cutting saddle, boots, and hat)

adhesive, (wet glue that does not wrinkle and double sided)

punch mat if you have one

prisma pencils and oms if you have it

chalks if you have them

silver glitter pen

Alcohol Markers

Many have been asking about alcohol markers. Yes, Copic and Prisma are the better artist quality, and they also come the price tag. Copic markers run about $300.00 for a set of 70 something, Prisma $200 for the set of 40 something.

The bargin of the century....Bic Mark-It permanetn markers are acid free, can be used on glass, metal, plastic, photos, foils, coated paper, oily and damp surfaces. A set of 36 can be purchased at Staples for $19.99 plus tax. I suggest you pick up a set for your stamp case. This ink will not run if it gets wet, and for the most part it will give all of us the quality we are looking for, or that we have the ability to achieve for a cheaper fee. They do come in smaller sets at Walmart and K-mart and the price is even cheaper. However, the 36 gives you a nice color scheme to work with. As always I do have some cheap water based markers out and you are welcome to use them. If you are intending to make a purchase of markers, this is my pick of the month.

A copic blender marker pen from Michael's makes these inks blendable.

Your cards mix and match your eight cards.

Bring: Paper trimmer, markers if you have them, and a word window punch and scissors.

This is one of example of the design and layout of the card. This is called a kick stand card, and that is the card we will be making. You can change the saying to make your card. The embossed background will vary in patterns. They will be pre embossed and you pick from those images. I will not be getting out lots of folders and making changes for these backgrounds.

The creel basket after meeting the texture dies and Judy Whitehead. Judy is a friend of mine and she showed me how to make the fly's that are on the front of the baskets. The basket to the left is the leather embossing plate by Fiscars, in the middle the mosiac tile by cuttlebug ( some tags were added, and the the one on the right is the basket weave again by fiscar.

For interest and beauty, the top was cut off, I punched the word window (Stampin' UP (c) punch) 3 times, and a black buckle die cut from Sizzix. A screw was stamped with black staz-on onto silver sticker paper and added to the punch on the top and of bottom of 2. The buckle was added to the other. Fold 2 of the punched pieces with the faux screws in half and glue to the top and back of the basket. The buckle piece align with the front latch and fold appropiately, then glue. Then place a piece of velcro(c) under the latch and onto the front of the basket.

fly: 2 feathers, cut a piece of wire the lenght of the longest feather, bend into the shape of J,
make a J sandwhich (feather, J, feather) wrap end with fishing line, approx. 1" of electrical tape wrap end of the J sandwhich, and glue to creel basket.

Pearl Ex Watercolor technique Class

I will be doing a class with watercolor made from pearl ex pigments. The class will be Saturday 9/13/08 starts at 1 over at 5.

You will need to bring the following supplies:

aqua painter or (water color brush and water well)
versa mark marker
black versa fine ink pad
brown versa fine ink pad
bone folder
adhesive, double sided tape or glue or your choice
gel pens
